Welcome to United Innovations Development Centre

We're a Leading Waste Incubator Centre in Africa Focusing on Gogreen Innovations for Job and Wealth Creation.

United Innovations Development Centre (UIDC) is a waste incubator centre focusing on turning biomass waste into energy and other products. It is involved in Go green Innovations focusing on turning waste into wealth.
The idea for this centre began in 2006 focusing on recycling/deinking examination waste papers generated in higher learning of institutions in Uganda. UIDC has been supporting women & Youth in value addition to agricultural wastes leading to production of fibers, packaging /Gift bags, Papers, Sanitary Pads, Charcoal briquettes, Hard paper, and Beads among others. For the past 2-3 years the Centre started production of briquettes, candles, candle molds, lotions, black books, shampoo, liquid & bar soap, Cakes among other home based simple products...more

The Centre also mentored a team of Artisans whom we work with in fabrication of simple equipment like briquette machinery, Honey comb machine, Retort kilns, Candle molds, Simple equipment for recycling waste papers & basic machinery for making cheap disposable pads for young girls in primary schools. Our mentors have authored two guide manuals for paper production at small scale & also a simplified guide on making charcoal briquettes from agricultural wastes at a small scale. For the past 1-2 years we have been trying to offer simple trainings in briquette and paper making at a small scale. From October 2016 we decided to start offering trainings in specific areas of briquettes production & lotions making, paper & candles among others.
